Race for Wellness Brings the Fun to Wofford

This year’s Race for Wellness looked a little different, in a Terrier way :) For the first time, we hosted the race at Wofford College, and it ended up being the perfect afternoon full of sunshine, movement, and community!

We had over 100 people come out, with a mix of individuals, families, and teams. While it’s technically a 5K, the race is set up as more of a fun run, no timing, no pressure, just a way for people to show up and be part of something meaningful.

In honor of Doctors’ Day, participants had the chance to write the name of a healthcare provider on their race bib. It was a simple way to recognize the people behind the care and a reminder of how much impact one provider can have, something we see every day at St. Luke’s.

One of the highlights this year was having St. Luke’s patients participate for the first time. Thanks to sponsors covering registrations, patients were able to join in right alongside the rest of the community, which made the day feel even more special.

We couldn’t have asked for better weather, and the turnout made it even better! With more than 100 people coming out, the event raised over $20,000 to support St. Luke’s and our work providing healthcare at no cost to our uninsured neighbors in Spartanburg County.

Big thank you to everyone who showed up, supported, and made the day what it was, and to Wofford for hosting us this year!
